MAN JAILED FOR VIOLENT ATTACK ON EX-PARTNER IN ABERFFRAW
A 37-year-old man named Karl Wayne Williams was involved in a violent domestic incident where he choked and punched his ex-partner until she was unable to breathe.According to court documentation, Williams grabbed her around the neck, applied pressure through choking, and continued his assault even as she tried to get away.
During the attack, she shouted for help, while Williams threatened to kill her.
The case was brought before Mold Crown Court, where Williams admitted to intentionally choking her and causing actual bodily harm.
He was subsequently sentenced to two years and four months in prison.
North Wales Police’s Detective Constable Katy Hughes stated, “This was a brutal attack that made the victim fear for her safety.
She was incredibly courageous throughout the process.” The police force stressed their ongoing efforts to fight violence against women and girls, particularly domestic violence, through campaigns like Operation Unite.
They also promote a message for victims to report abuse and seek help, providing multiple support helpline contacts for those affected.
