KADEM NOURI FROM WHITEMOOR SENTENCED FOR DISTURBING CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE VIDEO IN NOTTINGHAM
A 66-year-old man from Whitemoor, Kadem Nouri, has been handed a suspended prison sentence after a disturbing incident involving the display of a child sexual abuse video at a betting shop. The incident has shocked the local community and raised serious concerns about the presence of such material in public spaces.According to court records, Nouri pleaded guilty to charges of downloading indecent photographs of children and possessing extreme pornographic images. The case was heard at Nottingham Crown Court, where the judge described the nature of the case as 'disgusting' and deeply troubling. Despite the severity of the allegations, the judge decided not to impose immediate imprisonment, opting instead for a four-month prison sentence that was suspended, meaning Nouri will not serve time unless he commits further offenses.
During the proceedings, it was revealed that Nouri had shown a video containing child sexual abuse material at a betting shop, an act that caused significant concern among witnesses and staff present at the time. In addition to this, images of a woman with a dog were also found on his phone, further complicating the case. The court examined social media images that appeared on Nouri’s device, which he claimed had arrived there unintentionally, asserting he had no knowledge of their presence.
The judge ordered Nouri to pay court costs and mandated that his phone be destroyed to prevent further access to illicit material. The court’s decision underscores the seriousness with which such offenses are regarded, even when the defendant does not receive a custodial sentence. The case has sparked discussions about the importance of monitoring and controlling access to harmful content, especially in public venues like betting shops, where vulnerable individuals may be exposed to disturbing material.
