JUSTIN FEW FROM WIMBORNE JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL HE MET ONLINE IN DORSET

In a case that has shocked the local community, Justin Few, a 23-year-old man originally from Wimborne, has been sentenced to prison for engaging in unlawful sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl he met through an internet chatroom. The disturbing sequence of events culminated in Few's arrest and subsequent conviction, revealing a troubling pattern of predatory behavior facilitated by online communication.

According to court records, Few initially met the girl, who was only 15 at the time, through a chatroom where he falsely claimed to be 19 years old. The relationship quickly escalated, and Few persuaded the girl to travel with him from her home in Surrey to Dorset. The first time they were discovered, her parents became suspicious after she went missing, and police were alerted. Authorities found her at an address in Corfe Mullen, and although Few was arrested at that time, no charges were filed against him.

However, the situation intensified when Few returned to her home on October 24, and the pair rekindled their relationship. They then traveled together back to Dorset, and over the following days, they remained on the run from law enforcement. Their flight from justice ended in a police chase in Bournemouth, during which Few deliberately rammed a patrol car in an attempt to evade arrest. This reckless act led to their capture and marked a significant escalation in the case.

During the court proceedings at Guildford Crown Court, prosecutor Caroline Carberry detailed the sequence of events, emphasizing that the relationship between Few and the girl had developed over several months. The girl, who is now pregnant and expected to give birth in June, disclosed that she was pregnant as a result of their relationship. The court was informed that Few had admitted to having unlawful sexual intercourse with the girl, and he also faced additional charges related to handling stolen goods, for which he received a three-month sentence. An additional charge of abduction was ordered to be kept on file, pending further legal action.

Miss Carberry explained that the girl initially told her mother she was staying overnight with a schoolfriend, but it later emerged that she was with Few. Her parents reported her as a missing vulnerable person, prompting police to investigate. Authorities located the girl and Few at an address in Corfe Mullen, leading to Few's arrest. Despite this, no immediate charges were brought against him at that time. The situation escalated when Few returned to her home in Surrey, and they subsequently traveled back to Dorset, only to be caught after the police chase in Bournemouth.

During the trial, defense lawyer Katy Thorne argued that Few believed the girl was 16 at the time they engaged in a relationship, as she initially told him she was of legal age. Thorne also highlighted that Few was unaware of her true age until after their sexual encounter and police involvement. She added that Few has been proactive in planning his future, having applied for a job while on remand and organized accommodation for when he is released from custody. As part of his sentence, Few was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register, reflecting the seriousness of his offenses and the impact on the victim and her family.
