OFFENDER JOSHUA REID SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT IN LADYBANK
A man who assaulted his mother, Gillian Farquharson, and her partner, Grant Swan, was sentenced to eight months in prison at Dundee Sheriff Court.
The court proceedings revealed that Joshua Reid, aged 21, who is currently held at Perth prison, committed these acts shortly after attending his grandfather’s funeral.
Reid pleaded guilty to two counts of assault causing injury and one count of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
The incidents took place on November 23 of the previous year at Roselea Terrace in Ladybank.
The court was informed that Reid's actions were serious enough to warrant a prison sentence, and he was thus remanded in custody to serve his term.
