JOSHUA NICHOLLS OF BRADFORD SENTENCED FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY AND VEHICLE OFFENCES
Joshua Nicholls, born around 2002 and residing on Sticker Lane in the Cutler Heights area of Bradford, was convicted in 2022 for failing to seek veterinary treatment for a dog that had been scalded under unexplained circumstances.
Nicholls admitted to causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, a dog named Missy, between December 18, 2021, and February 17, 2022.
He did not take immediate action to get veterinary care after the dog had been subjected to boiling water, which caused injury.
The court's documentation noted that he knew or should have reasonably known that neglecting to seek care would result in unnecessary suffering.
In addition to the animal cruelty charges, Nicholls also pleaded guilty to offences of aggravated vehicle taking and damage (less than £5,000) on February 9.

Furthermore, he was prohibited from owning animals for four years, with the restriction expiring in September 2026.
