JOSHUA MILES FROM STOKE HEATH FACES JAIL AFTER SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING UNDERAGE GIRLS IN BROMSGROVE
In a case that has sent shockwaves through the local community, Joshua Miles, a 19-year-old resident of High Meadows in Stoke Heath, has pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activities with two underage girls in the Bromsgrove area.The charges, which carry serious legal consequences, were formally admitted by Miles during his appearance at Worcester Crown Court.
According to court records, the first charge pertains to an incident involving a girl who was only 13 years old at the time of the offense, which occurred sometime between January 1 and March 1, 2011.
The second charge relates to a separate incident involving a girl aged 15, which took place in January 2013.
These allegations highlight the gravity of the offenses and the breach of trust involved in such cases.
Judge Abbas Mithani, QC, did not mince words when addressing Miles during the hearing.
He emphasized the seriousness of the crimes, warning the defendant that the most probable outcome would be a custodial sentence, reflecting the severity with which the court views such offenses.
The judge ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared, which will help determine the appropriate punishment.
Despite the gravity of the charges, Miles was granted bail and allowed to return to his home in Stoke Heath pending sentencing.
The court scheduled the sentencing hearing for Friday, November 14, and also mandated that Miles register immediately as a sex offender, a legal requirement for individuals convicted of such crimes.
