2016: MAN JAILED AFTER A SEDGLEY PARK SEX ATTACK
A MASKED man who carried out a sex attack on a mother walking in a Sedgley park with her two children has been jailed for four years. He also exposed himself to the woman's young daughter.
Aston, who is a shop worker, also exposed himself in front of two other victims and assaulted a 16-year-old girl on her way to school in Sedgley.
The girl was grabbed from behind by 24-year-old Aston, whose face was again hidden, but she began screaming and kicking "as hard as she could" and the defendant, who had picked her up, then threw her to the ground.
Aston, of Tenacre Lane, Upper Gornal, admitted sexual assault and common assault with the intention of committing a sexual offence.
He also admitted one charge of indecent exposure and two of outraging public decency—offences he committed for sexual gratification.
Sati Ruck, prosecuting, told Wolverhampton Crown Court, that Aston had exposed himself to a woman walking in the Sedgley area when he had the balaclava over his face and he also dropped his trousers in front of a man walking his dog.
He was arrested after a search in the area, and when questioned, he said he could not guarantee it would not happen again.
Judge Simon Ward branded him a "dangerous offender" and sentenced him to four years in prison.
Aston was further told he must register as a sex offender until further notice.
