MAN CONVICTED OF CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES
A man from Newcastle-under-Lyme has been convicted of multiple child sexual offences after a court trial.Joseph Riley, aged 44 and from May Bank, was found guilty of attempting to induce a child to engage in sexual acts, intentionally touching a child inappropriately without consent, and of three counts related to the possession of indecent images of children.
Additionally, he was convicted of two charges involving the sharing of indecent images of a child.
The verdict was delivered at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Wednesday, 22 April.
Following the conviction, Riley has been remanded into custody and will face sentencing during a hearing scheduled for Wednesday, 10 June, at the same court.
