WOOD GREEN HOTEL WORKER JAILED FOR SEVEN YEARS FOR RAPE
A man from Wood Green named Joseph Gade, residing on Parkland Road, was employed as a receptionist at the Lonsdale Hotel located on Bedford Place, Holborn.
In August of the previous year, while the victim, a 26-year-old woman, was sleeping in her hotel room after checking in with a male friend, Gade left his position at reception and entered her room, where she was unaware, and committed a rape.
Gade was arrested on August 19, charged on August 26, and pleaded not guilty at magistrates’ court.
He was held in custody until his trial at Blackfriars Crown Court, where he faced a seven-year prison sentence for his crime.
