BARGOED MAN JORDAN BALDWIN JAILED FOR BRUTAL DOMESTIC ABUSE
A man named Jordan Baldwin was sentenced for a series of domestic abuse incidents against his partner in Bargoed.Baldwin, 23 years old and of no fixed abode, was found guilty of multiple charges including three counts of assault by beating, two counts of criminal damage, and offences related to using violence for entry and strangulation.
The court heard that Baldwin and his partner, who was together for around ten months before breaking up, experienced a series of violent episodes.
Baldwin sent threatening texts, entered her home by climbing through a window, slapped her, and was overheard during one incident by passersby who intervened.
On another occasion, he grabbed her shoulders, threw her causing bruises, and strangled her, leaving red marks on her throat.
He damaged items including a window, a table, and an urn with her father’s ashes.
Baldwin also caused damage during other confrontations, including slapping her across the face and throwing her into furniture.
He pleaded guilty to all charges.
The court described his behavior as 'an appalling catalogue of domestic abuse' and sentenced him to 12 months in prison, along with a five-year restraining order.
Baldwin has previous convictions for battery, damage, and harassment.
His solicitor stated he shows remorse and is engaging with mental health support to manage his anger issues.
The judge highlighted the terrifying nature of the abuse and emphasized the serious consequences Baldwin faced.
