Jonathan Sharpe, a 38-year-old man from Mablethorpe, was involved in a domestic assault incident where he hit his former partner over the head with a guitar following an altercation at their home. The incident occurred after the woman, Maria Page, allegedly attacked Sharpe with a rolling pin and damaged his guitar. The court heard that the couple had been drinking that day, and Maria had been shouting and swearing. According to court records, Sharpe responded to her aggression by hitting her with his guitar. The prosecution stated that Maria damaged the guitar with a rolling pin for no reason, and Sharpe retaliated by striking her. Sharpe pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Boston Magistrates’ Court and was ordered to pay a fine of £250, £85 in costs, and a £30 victim surcharge. The court also noted that Sharpe was ashamed and remorseful for his actions.
