VILE STALKER JAILED AFTER THREATENING EX-PARTNER AND VOWING TO HAVE HER COLLEAGUE’S CHILDREN SHOT.
A woman who was persistently followed by her ex-partner after their relationship ended pleaded with the court for protection during her witness testimony.Jonathan Harley, aged 45, received a 22-month prison sentence at Mold Crown Court after admitting to stalking Victoria Mulvihil and making two malicious communications to other individuals she knew.
Harley, of Deeside Lane, Sealand, and Ms Mulvihil first met in 2019.
They started a romantic relationship, but it deteriorated quickly.
She ended things in July 2022, but the defendant reportedly did not accept the breakup well.
The court was told that Harley continually contacted and messaged his ex-partner, even after she blocked his numbers.
He also issued threats, including one to shoot her work colleague's children.
Ms Mulvihil, who works as a driver on a farm in Cambridgeshire, recounted an incident where a caller inquired about her personal life at her workplace.
The court heard Harley falsely accused her of being on her phone while operating a tractor.
Additionally, last October Harley contacted a woman at the farm, causing her to become upset that he had been able to reach her.
Another incident involved him calling a couple, one of whom described Harley as "psychotic" and believed he might be under the influence of drugs.
During her victim statement, Ms Mulvihil appealed to the court, asking for protection from Harley.
She expressed fears that her ex-partner would never leave her alone, noting that her self-esteem has been damaged.
She has sought counseling and become socially isolated.
