Vicious Jonathan Breydin slashed Lucinda Burke with a butcher's knife before the sexual assault last year.
The 22-year-old was raped in her home after a drunken tirade.
Breydin was jailed for seven years at Dungannon Crown Court and placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for life.
The judge stated that Breydin not only raped Lucinda Burke in a violent manner but also subjected her to further sexual indignity, leaving her traumatised and distressed.
His lawyer claimed the crime was out of character and fueled by brandy, which Breydin wasn't used to.
Lucinda, who has moved to Omagh to start anew, said she was so frightened before the trial that she couldn't leave her mother's house.
She expressed anger, feeling she's the one serving the sentence, not him.
