OLDMELDRUM MAN GIVEN UNPAID WORK FOR EXPOSING HIMSELF TO POSTAL WORKERS
A man from Oldmeldrum has been sentenced to unpaid work after being convicted of exposing himself to female postal workers.John Pickford, aged 68, was found guilty following a trial at Aberdeen Sheriff Court of intentionally displaying his private parts to two postal workers while they delivered mail.
Both women reported this behavior to police after approaching Pickford's residence on Provost Florence Drive, where he was seen exposing his genitals.
The court heard that one postal worker was subjected to similar incidents over nearly a year.
Although convicted, Pickford maintains his innocence concerning these offences.
The sheriff, Lesley Johnston, described the victims as credible and acknowledged their courage in giving evidence.
The sentence includes a community payback order with supervision for 12 months and 100 hours of unpaid work.
