VICTIM FORGIVES RAPIST

A woman raped by an armed intruder in her home said she forgave her attacker as he was jailed for six years.

Tracey Wilson, aged 40, was present at the High Court in Edinburgh when John McKeown, 23, was sentenced for subjecting her to the ordeal at her residence in Livingston, West Lothian, on November 6 of the previous year.

Ms Wilson stated last night: "I forgive him for what he has done.

I won't say I've not been angry – of course I have been angry throughout the whole of it – but I don't hate the lad and I never will hate him." The court sentenced McKeown to six years in prison for his actions.
