John James Turnball, aged 33 and from Annitsford, has been sentenced to 56 months in prison after being convicted of causing actual bodily harm to his five-week-old baby. The infant suffered a skull fracture on the left side of the parietal bone, a small bleed between the skull and scalp, and multiple bruises across her head. A fact-finding court determined that these injuries were non-accidental, involving a significant impact to the child's head.
