Fraddon Sexual Abuser
A man named John Graley, aged 45, from My Lords Road, Fraddon, has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to three charges of sexual touching of a girl under 13. The court was told that Graley assaulted the girl in a sexual manner at an address in Cornwall last year, during which he stopped himself before further harm. The victim, a 13-year-old girl, wrote a heartfelt letter to the court describing how the attack left her too traumatised to attend school and how it changed her from an outgoing child to a scared and lonely one. She recounted that the assault occurred while she was sleeping, and she was so overwhelmed by what happened that it took her three weeks to report it. The court heard that Graley has a significant criminal history, although none of previous convictions relate to similar offenses. He showed remorse and admitted to the crimes, with his barrister highlighting his cooperation and acknowledgment of his wrongdoing. His Honour Judge Simon Carr condemned his criminal behavior, citing a disturbing sexual interest in children that was previously satiated through access to online images of child sex abuse. As part of his sentence, Graley will serve three years in prison, be subject to a 10-year sexual harm prevention order, and remain on the sex offender register for life.
