JOHN GALL FROM CARNOUSTIE SENTENCED FOR VIOLENT ABUSE AGAINST PREGNANT WOMAN IN SCOTLAND

John Gall, aged 22 and hailing from the town of Carnoustie, has been found guilty and has pleaded guilty to a series of brutal and abusive crimes committed against a woman. The offences include prolonged emotional, physical, and psychological abuse that escalated over time, culminating in acts of extreme violence. Many of these incidents occurred while his former partner was pregnant with his child, highlighting the severity and recklessness of his actions.

Throughout their relationship, Gall subjected his victim to a harrowing ordeal of domestic abuse. His actions ranged from strangulation and physical assaults to manipulative tactics and coercive control. Witnesses and court evidence detailed multiple instances where Gall strangled his partner, once during a moment when he was also punching her in the face. In another disturbing episode, he drove at high speed—70 miles per hour—on a dual carriageway while physically assaulting her, putting both their lives at serious risk. On a separate occasion, Gall confiscated her phone and left her stranded alone on the same road in the dark, effectively abandoning her without any assistance or means of communication.

Following his conviction, Gall was sentenced to perform community service and was placed under a supervision order for 12 months. Additionally, the court issued a non-harassment order for the same period, explicitly prohibiting any form of contact—direct or indirect—with his victim. The judge acknowledged the gravity of Gall’s actions but chose a non-custodial approach, emphasizing rehabilitation and measures to prevent further harm.
