MAN JAILED FOR STRING OF CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A man has received a prison sentence after being found guilty of nine separate child sexual offences.John Davies, aged 45 and from Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced to 20 years in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Tuesday, 27 May.
In May 2024, he admitted to attempting to communicate sexually with a child, sharing an indecent image of a minor, making three indecent images of children, and violating a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).
A jury later convicted him of organizing or assisting in a child sex offence, specifically rape or penetration assault of a child under 13.
An investigation by our Public Protection Unit was initiated after indications suggested Davies had violated his SHPO in April 2024.
Detective Constable Nathalie Connolly led the inquiry.
She stated, “We are satisfied with the outcome of this case.
“I hope this sentence demonstrates our commitment to fighting child sex crimes and protecting children in Staffordshire.” We remain dedicated to supporting victims of sexual offences.
