JOHN BARR SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IN FALLIN AND STIRLINGSHIRE
In a significant case that has shocked the local community, John Barr, a man from Fallin, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for a series of heinous sexual offenses committed against two young girls in Stirlingshire.The crimes, which spanned over several years, involved multiple addresses within the Fallin area and have now been brought to justice after a lengthy investigation.
According to court records, the abuse took place between October 1983 and October 1991.
One of the victims was a girl aged between 6 and 15 years old at the time of the assaults, while the other was between 13 and 18 years old during her victimization.

John Barr, who is now 67 years old, was first brought to the attention of authorities in November 2017.

On July 26, 2019, Barr was found guilty of four counts of rape and one count of lewd and libidinous practices.
