JOE SHELDON FROM LITTLEBOROUGH CAUGHT DOWNLOADING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN SHOCKING CRIME

In October 2009, authorities uncovered a disturbing case involving Joe Sheldon, a 52-year-old businessman based in Littleborough, who was found to have downloaded and possessed images of child abuse from the internet. Sheldon is known for managing a popular community website, littleboroughonline.co.uk, which made the allegations particularly shocking to the local community.

According to reports, Sheldon admitted to accessing the vile images, claiming that his actions were influenced by alcohol consumption at the time. His arrest took place at his residence on Salley Street, Littleborough, where police officers executed a search warrant and discovered a troubling collection of indecent material on his computer’s hard drive.

The police investigation revealed that Sheldon had stored a total of 23 indecent images, including eight videos. Among these videos, three were classified as level four, which is considered the second most serious category of such material, indicating the severity of the content he possessed.

Following his arrest, Sheldon appeared before Rochdale magistrates, where he pleaded guilty to possessing indecent photographs of a child.
