JAYREN KADAMEN FROM GRAVESEND SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES AND ONLINE ABUSE
Jayren Kadamen, aged 33 and previously residing in Gravesend, has been sentenced to prison following a disturbing series of events involving an attempt to meet a child for sexual purposes.The incident unfolded when Kadamen engaged in a series of explicit messages, clearly indicating his intent to arrange a clandestine meeting with a young girl in Gravesend.
His actions demonstrated a calculated effort to exploit a vulnerable minor, raising serious concerns about online safety and child protection.
On October 23 of the previous year, Kadamen traveled to the designated meeting point in Gravesend, expecting to meet the child he had been communicating with.
However, instead of the young girl, he was met by police officers who had been monitoring his online activity and had been tipped off about his intentions.
The officers swiftly arrested him at the scene, preventing any potential harm.
During a subsequent search of Kadamen’s vehicle, law enforcement officials discovered a mobile phone containing numerous indecent images of children.
This evidence further implicated him in the possession and distribution of child exploitation material, adding a grave dimension to his criminal conduct.
Following a thorough investigation conducted by Kent Police’s paedophile online investigation team, Kadamen was formally charged and later admitted to multiple offences.
These charges included arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence and possessing indecent photographs of children, highlighting the severity of his actions and the danger he posed to minors.
In court proceedings held at Maidstone Crown Court, Kadamen, who was previously known to reside on Kingfisher Drive in Maidenhead, was sentenced to six years and four months in prison.
The court also imposed a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) against him for a period of 15 years, restricting his access to online platforms and contact with minors to prevent further offending.
Detective Constable Jess Meadway, a member of Kent Police’s paedophile online investigation team, emphasized the importance of such investigations.
She stated, “Investigations like this one are designed to protect vulnerable children by tracking down those who would exploit them via the internet.
We do everything in our power to proactively target people like Kadamen, who seek to commit sexual offences against children, and ensure they can no longer pose a threat to public safety.”
