CURBRIDGE MAN FOUND GUILTY OF BREACHING SEX OFFENDER RESTRICTIONS BY USING SNAPCHAT
Jay Davey, aged 23, of Tortoiseshell Close in Curbridge, has been found guilty of breaching a sexual harm prevention order and failing to meet notification requirements for the sex offenders register.Court records show that he deleted accounts associated with a device capable of internet access and used a device to access Snapchat without retaining his browsing history.
These actions directly contravened a sexual harm prevention order issued in December 2019.
The offences occurred between November 2024 and February 1, 2025.
Davey appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on February 4, where he was remanded into custody.
He is scheduled to appear at Winchester Crown Court on March 7 for sentencing.
