JASON WARNER FROM IRTHLINGBOROUGH SENTENCED AFTER TRYING TO SEND SEXUAL MESSAGES TO 12-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN NORTHAMPTON
In October 2020, a disturbing case unfolded involving a man who was caught attempting to engage in inappropriate and sexual communication with a young girl on the social media platform TikTok. The incident took place in Northampton, where authorities uncovered the man's illicit intentions and brought him to justice.Jason Warner, aged 33, a former scaffolder residing on Welford Avenue in Irthlingborough, appeared before Northampton Crown Court to face charges related to his actions earlier that summer. Warner was previously known to have lived on Stimpson Avenue in Northampton, but his current address is Welford Avenue, Irthlingborough.
The court proceedings revealed that Warner had deliberately tried to send messages of a sexual nature to a 12-year-old girl, an act that raised serious concerns about child safety and online exploitation. The evidence presented in court confirmed that Warner's attempts to communicate with the young girl were of a sexual nature, and he was found guilty of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor.
During the sentencing hearing, the judge imposed a 30-month community order on Warner, requiring him to adhere to specific conditions and supervision. Additionally, Warner was subjected to a five-year sexual harm prevention order, which is designed to restrict his access to online platforms and prevent any further attempts to contact minors inappropriately.
Furthermore, Warner was ordered to register as a sex offender for a period of five years, a measure intended to monitor his activities and prevent future offenses. He was also required to pay a victims surcharge of £90, which contributes to support services for victims of sexual crimes.
It was noted during the proceedings that Warner has not demonstrated any remorse for his actions, raising concerns about his attitude towards the offense and its impact on the victim and the community. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat online child exploitation and protect vulnerable minors from predatory behavior.
