A BARNTON man has been ordered to pay compensation after breaking his victim's nose in an unprovoked hotel attack.
Jason Ray Newman, of Broomsfield Lane, pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm to Thomas Edward Wright outside the Oaklands Hotel, Gorstage, on June 25, when he appeared at Northwich Magistrates Court on Monday.
She added: "He did nothing to provoke this particular incident." Chairman of the bench Clive Waring told Newman: "We have considered custody but we have taken the decision to give you a community order, including supervision, for 18 months." Newman was also ordered to comply with a 9pm to 6am curfew, pay £250 compensation and £20 court costs.
He was told to pay £50 for the damage offence.
