SERIAL DOMESTIC ABUSER JAMIE WEATHERBY
Women in Worcestershire who have been victims of Jamie Weatherby’s violence have recounted their traumatic experiences to alert others.Weatherby, a repeat offender with several domestic violence convictions, notably strangled one woman, Miss Faulkner, multiple times last year, which caused her to deliver her baby prematurely.
She issued an urgent warning for women: "Stay away from this man if you see him," describing Weatherby as extremely dangerous, manipulative, and persuasive.
Miss Faulkner told of how he seized her by the neck and forced her against the stairs on January 9.
Later, on January 29, he choked her until she nearly lost consciousness and then threw her to the ground.
Furthermore, he held her down on a bed, throttled her, and attempted to rip her hair out on July 31 and August 1.
At the time, she was pregnant and had to be hospitalized for five days following the last assault, which resulted in her early labour.
Weatherby was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison on April 27 for that assault, and on the same day, he also received a 17-week sentence for attacking another former partner earlier in the year.
An additional victim, choosing to remain anonymous, described her encounter with Weatherby as the worst experience she had ever faced.
She warned women to be cautious of him, citing his convincing manner and manipulative personality.
After a police trap, Weatherby attempted to escape by driving at speeds up to 110 miles per hour but was caught and received a 12-month sentence for dangerous driving.
His criminal history also includes serving a year in prison in 2015 for choking a woman so severely she was said to have had to 'play dead.' Although he was released from prison on August 13, official sources could not confirm his current whereabouts.
His past convictions and violent history have raised concerns about the appropriateness of his early release, and he is considered to pose a serious threat to women, especially those with whom he maintains a relationship.
