JAMES TOSSELL SENTENCED IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE FOR CHILD SEX OFFENSES AT IVINGHOE ASTON
Following a thorough investigation conducted by Thames Valley Police, a man has been handed a significant prison sentence of 17 years for his involvement in the sexual abuse of minors.
James Tossell, aged 58 and residing at Orchard Farm in Ivinghoe Aston, was brought before Aylesbury Crown Court where he was sentenced after a jury found him guilty of multiple serious sex offences against three young girls.
During the trial, the jury, which reached a unanimous verdict, convicted Tossell on eight counts of sexual assault on a child, two counts of sexual assault by penetration of a child, three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, and three counts of producing indecent photographs of children.
These charges highlight a pattern of predatory behavior spanning several years, during which Tossell exploited his position of trust and authority.
It was revealed that Tossell, who owned a riding school in the area, used his role to manipulate and abuse his victims over an extended period.
The offences are classified as non-recent, indicating that the abuse occurred some time ago but only came to light through the police investigation.
In addition to the prison sentence, Tossell has been subjected to lifelong restrictions through a sexual harm prevention order and a notification order, which require him to register as a sex offender and impose ongoing monitoring to protect the community.
Detective Constable Kelvin Lennon commented on the case, stating, “James Tossell is clearly a dangerous offender who was intent on sexually abusing these girls for his own gratification.
He exploited his position to gain their trust and made them think they were in a safe environment.
In reality, he was grooming them with the sole purpose of abusing them.”
