DEVON POLICE OFFICER CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT AND MISCONDUCT

A serving Devon and Cornwall Police officer has been charged with sexual assault.

PC James Stillman, 31, from Bideford, is scheduled to appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court on Saturday, September 13.

He was arrested earlier this week, according to Devon and Cornwall Police.

The officer has been charged with sexual assault on a female and two counts of misconduct in public office.

As a result of his arrest, he has been suspended from duty.

Devon and Cornwall Police released a statement: "A serving officer from Devon and Cornwall Police is to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court today, 13 September.

PC James Stillman, aged 31 from Bideford, has been charged with sexual assault on a female and two counts of misconduct in public office.

PC Stillman has been suspended from duty following his arrest this week."
