Longforgan Child Sexual Abuser
In May 2013, James Small, a 40-year-old gas engineer residing in Longforgan near Dundee, was sentenced to 18 months in prison after being found guilty of distributing videos depicting child abuse and a disturbing film involving a man violating a chicken.

The case was brought to light after police investigations uncovered a significant collection of illicit material stored on Small's computer equipment. Sheriff Lindsay Foulis stated that the decision to imprison Small was unavoidable, given the severity and duration of the offenses. The authorities discovered more than 50 hours of footage on his computer, which had been accumulated over a span of three years.

Further examination revealed that the collection included a total of 138 videos and 28 still images. The majority of these videos depicted children being subjected to serious sexual assault by adults, a revelation that shocked the investigators and the community alike. Among the videos was a particularly disturbing film classified at the highest level of abuse severity, level 5, which involved sadism and bestiality. This specific video showed a young male engaging in sexual intercourse with a chicken, a detail that underscored the heinous nature of the material.

Police officers executed a search warrant at Small's residence on Wallace Place in Longforgan following reports that his computer contained indecent images. During the investigation, Small was visibly distressed and repeatedly expressed his fear, saying,
