DJ SENTENCED TO COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR ASSAULTING GIRLFRIEND DURING BREAKUP
A man named James Ronald Clucas, a part-time DJ and shift worker, was involved in an incident during an acrimonious separation that resulted in him punching his girlfriend, Angela Susan Jones, in the face.The altercation took place at their shared home in Stores Terrace, Ffrith, near Llanfynydd.
During the dispute, Clucas sat on Miss Jones while his friend was collecting his remaining possessions from the house.
Clucas admitted to the court that he struck his girlfriend after she dropped his stereo system, which she had picked up and deliberately dropped.
Miss Jones sustained a bruised and swollen right eye and was distressed after the fight.
The court sentenced Clucas to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work via a community punishment order, and he was ordered to pay £100 in compensation and £87 in costs.
Clucas acknowledged his actions and took responsibility, with his solicitor noting he had no previous convictions and had called the police himself.
