Oxford Child Sexual Abuser
Jacob Chouffot, a 26-year-old from Iffley, Oxford, was involved in serious child abuse offences, sharing over 1,000 clips including the rape of newborn babies between 2015 and 2019. Despite the severity of his actions, he was not given a custodial sentence when he appeared at Oxford Crown Court this week. The judge stated he was not a direct danger to the public after Chouffot admitted to 14 counts of making, possessing, and distributing child abuse images. Chouffot used two phones to share and store these images, which included children as young as six months old. He was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence, ordered to sign the sex offenders register for ten years, and must undertake 30 rehab sessions along with 180 hours of unpaid work. Moreover, he was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Following the sentencing, county and district councillor Liam Walker criticized the decision, describing the offences as 'grotesque' and calling for a review of his sentence.
