A man from Tarleton, Jack Perna, has been convicted of possessing over 1,700 indecent images of children and engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a young girl. Police discovered the images on his phone and observed him leaving his home naked with the girl hiding nearby. Despite prior warnings to keep the girl away, Perna's relationship was considered both inappropriate and exploitative. He received a prison sentence of 27 months and was ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years.
