In a case that has shocked the local community, Ian Welbourn, a 48-year-old resident of Kirton Road, Scawby, was sentenced to a total of 18 years in prison following his conviction for a series of heinous crimes committed in the Scunthorpe area.
The offences include a prolonged period of sexual abuse against a young girl, as well as a reckless act of arson that endangered the lives of vulnerable residents and staff at a mental health facility.
