2016: MARTIAL ARTS EXPERT IAN SIVITER JAILED FOR ATTACKING WOMEN
A "SADISTIC" Black Country martial arts expert who threw a cup of hot tea in his partner’s face has been jailed.
Ian Siviter also slapped her so hard in the face she “saw stars”, Wolverhampton Crown Court was told.
Judge Nicholas Webb said the 51-year-old then threatened her with a spirit level at her home in Highfield Road, Kates Hill, before carrying out another brutal attack just days later.
The judge said he put his hands around the throat of the woman and pressed hard until she was unconscious, and when she later came to he said he had just been “playing”.
Siviter then formed an association with a Walsall woman and after threatening her with violence he held a hot iron to her breast and refused to let her seek medical assistance.
She must have been in “excruciating” pain, said the judge who told Siviter: “This was not something that was momentary – it was sadistic.” Siviter, who held martial arts qualifications, then beat the woman and left her with two black eyes and more than 20 bruises.
The judge told Siviter, now of no fixed address: “You are probably a danger to any woman with whom you have a relationship.” Siviter had denied two charges of assault causing actual bodily harm on each of his victims but he was found guilty by the jury at the end of his trial.
