SWINDON MAN ADMITS MAKING 42 INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
Ian Jones, 49, of Fontmell Close, Redhouse, has admitted making indecent images of children.
He indicated guilty pleas after being charged with three counts of making indecent images of children on Tuesday, October 28 at Swindon Magistrates Court.
Between November 11, 2023, and September 7, 2024, Jones made 23 Category C indecent images of children, 11 Category B images, and eight Category A images — of the most serious nature.
After the defendant indicated guilty to all three charges, District Judge Dickens adjourned the hearing to allow the probation service to complete a pre-sentence report, which will help determine the most appropriate punishment.
Jones is due to be sentenced on Thursday, December 11, at Swindon Magistrates Court.
He has been ordered to sign onto the sex offender's register in the meantime.
