RAYLEIGH GIRLFRIEND JAILED FOR LIFE IN NEW YEAR'S DAY STABBING

Hannah Sindrey was sentenced to life in prison for murdering her boyfriend, Paul Fletcher, after a violent confrontation on New Year’s Day in 2021.

Paul, aged 31, sustained fatal stab wounds to the chest when police arrived at a flat in Rayleigh, Essex, around 1:00 AM following reports of a disturbance.

The court learned that Sindrey, aged 24, argued with Mr.

Fletcher after he took phones belonging to her friend Kelly Blackwell and another individual.

During the altercation, she was seen brandishing a kitchen knife and aggressively waving it at Mr.

Fletcher, who collapsed and later died from his injuries.

Sindrey denied murdering Mr.

Fletcher, claiming a friend was responsible, but a jury convicted her.

She received a minimum sentence of 14 years and six months.

Eyewitness testimonies and police reports indicated she stabbed Mr.

Fletcher during the rapidly escalating fight.

His family expressed profound grief, describing him as a cherished son, brother, and father whose life was tragically cut short.
