Bovington Animal Abuser
Hannah Katherine Bennett, a resident of Arras Road in Bovington, Wareham, was recently involved in a disturbing incident that has shocked the local community and animal welfare advocates alike. The incident was captured on CCTV footage, revealing a distressing act of animal cruelty involving her elderly pet dog, Mace.

According to the footage, Bennett was seen outside a shop located on High Street in Wool, with her dog Mace trailing closely behind her. The video shows her pausing momentarily, turning towards the dog, and then suddenly drawing back her right leg to deliver a forceful kick. The impact was so severe that Mace was propelled from a raised walkway, over the railings, and into the adjacent car park below.

Witnesses who observed the incident reported that Bennett appeared to say something to Mace before executing the kick. Despite the efforts of passers-by who immediately remonstrated with her and attempted to intervene, Bennett continued to pull and drag the 13-year-old dog by his collar. It was only after the intervention of concerned individuals that Mace was eventually freed from her grasp and taken to safety.

Veterinary examinations conducted on Mace revealed that the elderly dog was suffering from tenderness in his abdomen and had blood in his urine, indicating internal injuries. Fortunately, after approximately ten days of treatment and care, Mace showed signs of recovery. Following his recovery, he was signed over to the RSPCA for further protection and care.

Hannah Bennett has a history of previous convictions, including assault, drink driving, and criminal damage. Her recent actions have led to legal consequences. She was sentenced to a two-week custodial sentence, which was suspended for one year, along with an £80 surcharge. Additionally, she received a five-year ban on owning animals, which expired in 2019.

This incident has sparked outrage among animal rights groups and local residents, emphasizing the importance of animal welfare and the need for strict enforcement of laws protecting vulnerable animals. The community continues to call for accountability and justice for Mace, whose suffering has brought to light the ongoing issues of animal cruelty in the area.
