ABERDEEN MAN JAILED FOR DISTURBING CHILD ABUSE REQUESTS AND POSSESSION OF INDECENT IMAGES
Greg Davidson, aged 27, was sentenced to 16 months in prison after committing serious child abuse offences.The court heard that Davidson had made disturbing requests to a woman he met on Tinder, asking her for nude images of her four-month-old baby, which he accompanied with a winking face emoji and the comment “It’s kinda hot”.
The woman was horrified by the message and reported it to the police.
A subsequent search of Davidson’s mobile phone revealed child abuse material, including images and videos of girls as young as six engaged in sexual activities with adults.
He pleaded guilty to repeatedly requesting images of a child in various states of undress and possessing indecent images of children.
Davidson also had a previous conviction for domestic abuse in 2021.
At sentencing, Sheriff Ian Wallace described the offences as very serious and imposed a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order as well as sex offender notification requirements.
Davidson appeared unsteady and fainted as he was led away from the court after sentencing.
