Carnforth Penrith Rapist
In March 2014, Graeme Davies, a man formerly residing near Penrith, pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of children. Carlisle Crown Court was told that police discovered these images on Davies' computer during a search of his home in Cliburn. The search followed his arrest in connection with an alleged rape, though no charges related to the rape were pursued as the allegation was subsequently withdrawn. Davies, now living in Carnforth, admitted to seven charges of making indecent photographs of children. He has been remanded on bail to allow for background checks and is scheduled for sentencing on April 4.
