FULWELL DRUG USER WARNED HE COULD FACE JAIL FOR CONTACTING EX-PARTNER DESPITE RESTRAINING ORDER
A Sunderland drug user who breached a court order by contacting his ex-partner on social media has been warned he could face jail.Glen Scrafton, 34, of Dene Lane, Fulwell, sent a Facebook friend request and later a TikTok emoji to his former partner — despite a five-year restraining order banning all contact.
Magistrates in South Tyneside heard the victim woke up to the messages, which left her “fearful”, saying their past relationship had been “toxic”.
Scrafton, who admitted two breaches of a restraining order and failing to surrender to custody, has been granted bail while probation assess whether he can join a drug treatment programme.
He will be sentenced on November 3.
