FARM MANAGER JAILED FOR RAPING UNDERAGE GIRLS AFTER PREVIOUS SEX OFFENSE
A farm manager involved in top showjumpers at Brickfield Stud in Exning, Suffolk, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for serious sexual offenses.
Gerard Wynne, aged 33, was convicted of raping a girl aged approximately 10 or 11, and indecently assaulting two other girls under 13.
The assaults took place when these girls stayed overnight at his house after babysitting his four-year-old son.
Wynne was found guilty of three rapes and six indecent assaults.
It was revealed that he had previously served a three-year sentence for abusing a 12-year-old girl in North Wales in 1996, and he was registered as a sex offender at the time of the new offenses.
Despite this, Wynne was employed with a salary of £25,000 per year at Brickfield Stud, and the parents of his victims, many of whom were friends, were unaware of his earlier jail sentence and his status on the sex offenders register.
An angry parent commented that Wynne 'is an absolute animal and should have got life.' Judges sentenced Wynne to 11 years in custody, highlighting the severity of his crimes and his violation of trust placed in him by the community.
