PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR CHILD EXPLOITATION AND POSSESSION OF INDECENT IMAGES
A brazen paedophile sexually exploited a 16-year-old girl online before meeting up with her and having sex with in the boot of his car when he was caught by quad bikers.He had paid his victim to perform sexual acts upon him, and requested hundreds of images of her taking part in sexual activity.
George Renny, 56, was also found with hundreds of indecent images of children as young as seven years old on his phone and images of a woman engaging in sexual activity with a horse.
When visited by the police he claimed he was having an affair with the 16-year-old and falsely stated he believed she was over 18 years old.
Renny, of Culver Street, Newent, Gloucestershire, pleaded guilty to three counts of causing/inciting sexual exploitation of a child, three counts of making indecent images, one count of possessing extreme images, and two counts of taking indecent photographs/pseudo photographs of a child.
The court heard he is of previous good character.
The sentencing court heard that the defendant first contacted the victim on an online chatroom, and their conversation quickly became sexual.
They exchanged numbers and began speaking on WhatsApp, where the victim told him she was 16, and he responded, 'I'm okay with that.' The messages ran to 600 pages, with Renny encouraging the victim to masturbate, instructing her on what to do, and sending videos of himself masturbating.
He requested sexually explicit photos and videos, and in return, he sent her £180 total.
Renny arranged to meet in Cardiff, where they went shopping and ate, with the victim instructed to pretend he was her grandfather if confronted.
She described feeling uncomfortable as Renny kissed her and rushed things, and he repeatedly touched her bottom and vagina over clothing, leaving her humiliated and embarrassed.
They then traveled to Caerphilly for sexual activity, which was filmed by Renny.
The victim performed oral sex on him before they had penetrative sex in the car's boot, during which they were seen by two quad bikers who confronted Renny.
When police arrived, Renny claimed an affair with the girl and provided her contact info, saying he hadn't spoken to her since.
He was later arrested, and his phone was seized, revealing over 350 indecent images of children, some as young as seven, and images involving a woman and a horse.
He was found to have downloaded these images between 2017 and 2024.
Renny stated he thought the girl was over 18 but said he knew he 'cannot turn the clock back' and expressed remorse.
Prosecutors said he knew he was harming children and he had a sexual interest in minors.
Judge Paul Hobson sentenced him to 32 months in prison, with a lifelong restraining order and sex offender notification requirements.
He emphasized that the acts are driven by a market created by people like Renny and highlighted the importance of safeguarding children from exploitation.
