MAN JAILED FOR ONLINE CHILD SEX OFFENCES
The Horsham Paedophile from Sussex, Gavin West, has pleaded guilty to 6 child sexual abuse charges including: 1 x Attempt to arrange/facilitate offence of cause/incite child to engage in sexual activity penetration 1 x Engage in sexual communication with a child 3 x Make indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child 1 x Possess extreme pornographic image/images portraying an act of intercourse/oral sex with a dead/alive animal The victim has lifelong anonymity.Gavin West is due to be sentenced on 13.06.25 and remains on unconditional bail until that time.
Gavin West is known to hang around in public areas of East Grinstead and Crawley, so beware.
UPDATE 21.06.25 A man from Horsham who solicited young girls online and attempted to arrange sexual encounters has been incarcerated.
In 2023, Gavin West, 46, of Six Acres in Slinfold, communicated with an account on a social networking platform that he presumed belonged to a 12-year-old girl.
West participated in sexual discussions with the account, despite being clearly informed that the owner was 12 years old, and sought to organise a meeting for sexual purposes.
Authorities were cognisant of West’s communications and, in November 2023, he was apprehended at his residence.
A variety of gadgets were confiscated, revealing indecent photographs of minors, including two category A images of the most severe nature and four extreme pornographic images illustrating sexual acts involving canines.
Communications with other social media users indicated that West harboured a persistent sexual interest in minors.
West faced charges for attempting to provoke a kid under 13 to participate in sexual conduct, participating in sexual communication with a minor, three counts of producing indecent photographs of a child, and one count of possessing severe pornographic photos.
On 24 April 2025, at Lewes Crown Court, he entered a guilty plea to all charges and was subsequently sentenced to four years of imprisonment and issued a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order on 13 June at the same court, designed to mitigate his risk of reoffending.
