GARY DYER PERVERT FROM FAR COTTON SENTENCED IN NORTHAMPTON FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES NEAR SCHOOLS
In a recent court case held at Northampton Crown Court, Gary Dyer, a 44-year-old resident of London Road, Far Cotton, was convicted of multiple sexual misconduct charges and received a significant sentence.The court heard that Dyer had been engaging in disturbing behavior by exposing himself from his bedroom window as young girls passed by his Northampton home, particularly those traveling on a school bus.
This pattern of behavior had been ongoing and had caused considerable concern among the local community and authorities alike.
Judge Charles Wide, presiding over the case, described Dyer as a persistent threat to young girls and emphasized the severity of his actions.
The judge ordered Dyer to stay at least 100 meters away from any school or nursery across the country for the next 20 years, reflecting the court’s determination to prevent further incidents.
In addition to this restraining order, Dyer was sentenced to two years in prison for his offenses.
The court was informed that Dyer’s criminal record is extensive, including previous convictions for unlawful sexual activity with an underage girl and rape during the 1990s.
His history of sexual offenses dates back to 1987, and he has been involved in similar misconduct over the years.
The recent charges stemmed from incidents between September of the previous year and May of this year, during which Dyer was found guilty of four counts of indecent exposure and outraging public decency.
Pearl Willis, the prosecutor, detailed the nature of Dyer’s misconduct, stating, “On occasions when the school bus would stop at traffic lights on London Road, the occupants would see the defendant standing at his window exposing himself.” In May, following a complaint from a passenger on a coach, police officers witnessed Dyer standing naked as the school bus approached his house.
He was promptly arrested at that time.
During sentencing, Judge Wide condemned Dyer’s repeated offenses, remarking, “You have an absolutely appalling record and you are a menace to young girls.
You have been before the courts many, many times, and your offenses date back to 1987.
You have about as bad a record as I have come across, and I repeat, you are a menace.” It was also revealed that Dyer had previously been sentenced to seven years in prison for rape in 1992 at Reading Crown Court and was found guilty of having sex with an underage girl in 1998.
His defense solicitor, Robin Pearse-Wheatley, acknowledged his client’s time already served in prison, stating, “The defendant has been in prison for seven months already.
He should have known and recognized that what he considered a bit of a laugh is going to land him in prison.” Furthermore, Dyer was warned that any breach of the court’s order could result in up to five years of imprisonment, underscoring the seriousness with which the court views his actions and the measures taken to protect the community from further harm.
