In September 2017, Gareth Wyn Evans, a 22-year-old resident of Llandysul, admitted to charges related to child sex abuse images. He pleaded guilty to five counts of creating indecent images of a child and one count of possessing a prohibited image. The offences stem from images created on October 14, 2016. Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre ordered Evans to be remanded on unconditional bail until his appearance at Swansea Crown Court for sentencing scheduled on October 13.
