WOMAN SENT NAKED PICTURES AND SUPPLIED VAPES TO 15-YEAR-OLD BOY
A woman from Aberdeen has escaped a prison sentence after admitting to sending explicit images of herself to a 15-year-old boy and making sexual advances, including stating her desire to see his “young body.” Galina Radkova was in Aberdeen Sheriff Court for sentencing after pleading guilty to a series of sexual communications over four months, which involved sharing photos of her private parts. It was disclosed that Radkova, aged 44, was providing the boy with disposable vapes and requesting hugs and kisses in exchange.
She complimented the teen’s physical appearance, noting he had a “perfect body” and telling him she preferred “a young teenage body” to “an old man’s wrinkled physique.” Radkova also issued threats when the boy attempted to cease contact.
The sheriff, Ian Miller, commented that Radkova appeared to be in need of support.
Prosecutor David Ballock explained that around June last year, the girl approached the boy and his friends outside the local Spar store on Provost Watt Drive in Aberdeen.
Later the same day, she sent a Facebook friend request along with a message saying, “Is this you?
I’ve found you,” accompanied by a photo of the boy taken earlier outdoors.
They continued conversing via Facebook Messenger.
Mr Ballock detailed that Radkova repeatedly asked the boy to meet her on a nearby footpath, offering vapes and seeking physical contact.
Though he refused her advances, he accepted about £40 worth of vapes over a few months.
In September, Radkova sent a photo showing her topless and her backside, which did not reveal her face.
Later that month, she approached the boy outside the same shop, attempting to hug him, which he dodged, then she expressed her desire to hug him again before they ran off.
She later sent him more explicit images and demanded he send similar pictures, which he refused.
She then told him to delete all messages, threatening to commit suicide if he did not comply, implying guilt for her actions.
He deleted the content.
Subsequently, Radkova invited him to her house for tea, offering him £20 but he did not go inside.
Two days later, he told her he wanted to sever contact, prompting her to threaten self-harm.
She then messaged her desire to engage in sexual activity with him again and expressed her attraction to his youthful body.
The boy reported this to his mother, who alerted authorities.
Radkova was detained on October 18 and questioned, during which she believed the boy was between 16 and 22, later confirming he was 15 but stating she continued talking to him.
She admitted to sending explicit images and engaging in indecent communication.
Charged with coercing a minor to view sexual images, communicating indecently, and threatening self-harm, Radkova pleaded guilty.
Her solicitor, Stuart Murray, recognized the seriousness of her conduct, citing her mental health and relationship issues at the time, and explained her actions stemmed from inappropriate attention.
He noted the impact this would have on her reputation and life going forward.
Sheriff Miller indicated that due to the seriousness of the crimes, prison was a possibility, but considering her status as a first offender, he believed rehabilitation was appropriate.
He imposed a community supervision order lasting two years, along with a two-year sex offender registration requirement.
