2010: EX-CARETAKER JAILED FOR INDECENT ASSAULT IN SCHOOL SHOWER
A former caretaker has been sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of indecently assaulting a young girl at the educational institution where he was employed.During the hearing at Cardiff Crown Court, it was revealed that Frank Parry, who is 75 years old and resides on Aspinall Way in Worsley, committed a single indecent assault in the showers of Bryncelynnog Comprehensive School located in Beddau, Mid Glamorgan.
He had worked at the school for nine years starting in 1986.
At the time of the incident, Parry was residing in the school house, but he later moved to Trem-y-Cwn in Beddau.
Following the death of his wife, Hilda, Parry relocated to Worsley.
His trial took place in November, during which he denied 15 charges involving four different girls.
A jury acquitted him of eight charges, including one of rape, but was unable to reach verdicts on five other counts.
Ultimately, he was convicted on two counts of indecent assault related to one girl and received a three-year prison sentence.
Parry had confessed to using the school swimming pool after hours but denied any showering or touching of the girls during those times.
