EUGEN ANCUTA SENTENCED TO 18 YEARS IN PRISON FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN WAVERTREE, MERSEYSIDE

In a significant legal development, Eugen Ancuta, a 31-year-old man from Wavertree, Merseyside, has been handed down a substantial prison sentence following a series of heinous crimes. The sentencing took place at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, June 6th, where the court found Ancuta guilty of multiple serious offenses, including three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and three counts of causing actual bodily harm.

Ancuta, who resides on Grosvenor Road in Wavertree, had previously entered a guilty plea on Wednesday, April 3rd, to three counts of actual bodily harm that occurred during 2018. The court proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of criminal behavior that spanned over a three-week period in August 2018.

The series of rapes committed by Ancuta took place on three separate occasions, each separated by a week. The first assault occurred on August 11, 2018, when he raped a woman on Grosvenor Road. The following week, on August 19, 2018, he attacked a second woman in the same area, and a week later, on August 26, 2018, he committed a third rape against another woman, also on Grosvenor Road.

In addition to the sexual assaults, Ancuta physically assaulted all three victims, inflicting injuries that qualified as actual bodily harm under the law. The court heard how these assaults caused significant distress and physical injury to the women involved.

The judge also ordered Ancuta to be registered on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life, emphasizing the severity of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
