BASILDON MAN DENIES RAPE, SEXUAL ASSAULT AND HARASSMENT CHARGES
A Basildon man will stand trial next year over a string of alleged offences against a woman.Ethan Pepper, 35, of The Durdans, Langdon Hills, has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape and sexual assault, allegedly committed between 2021 and 2022.
He also denied making a threat to kill the woman and putting her in fear of violence by harassment.
He is alleged to have contacted the woman by phone while using an app to hide his identity, and shown up at her home uninvited.
Dressed smartly in a suit, he shook his head as the charges were read to him at Basildon Crown Court on Friday (October 3).
His trial was fixed for December 7, 2026.
He was released on bail until then.
