SHERFORD MAN, 23, ADMITS HAVING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A man found with indecent images of children has been ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work.
Ethan Jones, aged 23, appeared at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on October 2 where he faced four charges.
Jones, of Orion Drive, Sherford, was accused of making a number of indecent images of a child, namely four category A - considered the most serious and depraved - as well as four category B and 14 category C images.
He was also charged with possession of four indecent images of children.
Jones, represented by his defence solicitor Michael Crumleigh, pleaded guilty to all four charges.
The court heard the offences took place between November 15, 2021 and November 20, 2024 and the images were found on two devices.
Jones offered pleas on August 1 and was sentenced by magistrates on October 2.
He was ordered to pay court costs £85 and a £114 victim surcharge.
He was made subject of a community order and must engage with rehabilitation activity for up to 20 days.
In addition he was ordered to complete 200 hours unpaid work.
Jones must also register with the police at Charles Cross police station for the next five years.
